Admin Application Tips Empty
PostSubject: Admin Application Tips   Admin Application Tips EmptyWed Jan 29, 2020 1:59 pm

As the Estrella Errante community grows, we may open up more administrating positions for users to join by filling out an application and going through a review process done by all our admins. Being an admin is NOT an easy task and applications are looked over with professional, unbiased opinions. There are many aspects to an application and it's important that if you really are looking for a position that you fill out each section to your best abilities. Below are some tips to show what the Estrella Errante staff look for in applications to help you fill out a clean, professional application.

// Honesty //

Honesty plays a big part in the application process. This helps us determine what kind of person you are. Are you an honest person who will preform well or do you have a history of lying your way through? One thing that should be pointed out is if a user is caught lying about their age, we (the admins) are able to find out. This will result in immediate rejection.

// Maturity //

Maturity is also important. If an admin isn't able to remain mature and professional, it gives a very bad vibe to the site and the team as a whole. This doesn't mean you can't have fun, though! One thing that catches our eyes is how well done an application is completed on a maturity level. If words are spelled incorrect or grammar is on the rough side, we may get the wrong idea. On many occasions the admin application is our first glance at what kind of person the user may be.

// Detail//

Lengthy, well detailed applications are by far our favourite. This mainly goes for the scenario section of the application. What rules have the users broken? What would you do if you were in that direct situation? Your answers here play a critical part in the acceptance or rejection of an application so please pay good attention to the questions and read them over!

// The Application Skeleton //

This REALLY shouldn't be put on the list but lately we've had an onslaught of users using their own application skeletons that they've either made up themselves or have taken from other Chatland applications. The minute we see that our application hasn't been used, it's an instant rejection. Users applying should be able to follow instructions and this is the first SIMPLE piece that should be followed. It's disappointing. If anything has been read on the admin application thread, you should be able to find the application skeleton quite easily.

// A Helping Hand //

If you're going to apply, it's expected of you to remain active throughout your duties. If you are accepted, it's important that you join in on administration conversation, answer threads within the admin section of the forum and give your input. This has been an issue in the past. Please, please remain active and make sure you're going to keep your promises as an admin if you're going to apply.

Please be sure to read over this if you're unsure about applying or are planning to apply. It's important to keep these things in mind. We wish you the best of luck when applying and we look forward to working with you!
